Dead battery, the charging case does charge but the charging contacts on the earbuds are faulty meaning they don't charge correctly. The left one is better and does have a flashing red light when you open the case but the right one doesn't have any lights flashing. these can most likely be repaired or reused in another charging case if you clean up the charging contacts a little because there is a little blue residue around it
