A gigantic roaring flame rose, an explosion of violence so fantastic that it became inaudible pulverized the statues, the columns, dislocated the vault along its entire length, projecting its incandescent debris to dizzying heights, turning the temple into a crater of bubbling fire. 

Neither the Dal'mana, nor Reshi and his companions, nor the priests nor the crowd had time to see this spectacle of Revelation, they had been charred, disintegrated from the first thousandth of a second of the atomic fire; neither did Inadso and Alan. 

The only image on their retinas was of a naked young woman turning her back on them and walking away dancing along a path flooded with golden light...
