A wonderfully unusual vintage-style tin fire engine converted into a striking table lamp.
The fire engine is made from tin and features an impressive amount of detail including ladders, hose reels, pipework, valves, running boards, headlights and traditional fire-engine fittings. It has an intentionally aged red finish which gives it plenty of character and an authentic industrial appearance.
The fire engine is mounted on a substantial wooden display base and fitted with a flexible black gooseneck lamp arm, allowing the large Edison-style globe bulb to be positioned to suit.
When illuminated, the warm filament bulb creates a particularly attractive amber glow over the red tinwork and metal detailing, making this as much a piece of decorative sculpture as it is a functional lamp.
It would look superb in a study, man cave, office, bar, restaurant, vintage interior, industrial loft or collector’s room, and would make a great gift for a fire-engine enthusiast.
