Vintage Morgantown Glass covered powder jar made of genuine lead crystal in a soft pink color with a clear crystal lid.
The cylindrical pink glass base is paired with an ornate clear lid featuring a radiating molded design, scalloped edge and tall fluted finial. The contrast between the opaque pink base and clear crystal cover gives the jar a distinctive vanity or dresser-piece appearance.
Morgantown Glass of West Virginia was known for its American-made lead crystal. Morgantown's lead glass production is documented in museum and archival collections.
