Welcome to the sale of this incredible hairdryer. 

Dating from the 1940's this hairdryer was designed by Franz Stroher who founded the hair care brand Wella in Germany in 1880. Although no longer working this dryer is really a work of art. It was known as the waving dryer due to the arms that could be independently moved that would blow hot air through them setting the hair into a permanent wave. It's design is really ahead of its time, it has a very space age alien look and it's aged patina makes it like something designed by H.G.Giger. Regarding the patina, this could be cleaned off if needed showing the metal beneath which would polish up well, however I think it looks better as it is. But it's up to you. The dryer would make a superb taking point in a hair salon or barbers, personally I would have it converted into a very cool and unique light! 

In a condition commensurate with its age and use. Sold as display piece. Please have a good look at the photographs as they form part of the description and contact me if you have any further questions. One of the end bungs has been replaced with a piece of cork. 

The dryer measures (in cm) 155 tall (max), 30 to 50 wide and 54 deep. 

 I offer free delivery on many of our items, however delivery shown is for the UK mainland only. There will be a surcharge for some addresses in Northern Ireland, the Isle of Wight, the Isle of Man, the Scilly Isles and the Highlands and islands of Scotland. You are more than welcome to collect or I can deliver locally if needed.
