Once the above was complete I had it mot’d and it passed with no advisories.
My van starts, stops and drives beautifully.

I spent days cleaning the cab, seats out, wet vac the full 9 yards. It’s very very clean now.
So campers keep in mind my orange Tango beauty is 5 ton gross vehicle weight.
That means you need ‘grandad rights’ to drive it or the appropriate ticks on your driving licence.
My van weighs 2780kg as is, so you could explore down rating it to 3.5t but I think having the full 5t is a bonus. (SV Tech down rate vans)

New Dometic 40x40 skylight literally just fitted as I broke the first one on a tree last month 😑
- I’ve removed the ceiling ply and celotex to fit the new skylight.
I’m leaving this off as a truth test.
How many vans actually show you what’s underneath
Plus the idea of having removable panels and full access has paid off already.
Things break and wear out. If my ceiling was sealed up it would have been an even bigger pain to swap the skylight.

Random facts..
I bought 3 of these a few years ago
All ex TNT vans all low mileage
I could never understand the low mileage
There were a couple sold with 100k and 130k
Mine were 60 to 80k
Anyway I had to bring the van out of storage and on to my drive at home.
The postman caught me one day and said I used to drive that van. I was what a van like mine. No he said, that van was mine. I couldn’t believe it, so before he darted off I said why such low miles.
He says these were top up vans.
They would drive out to meet the vans doing the rounds and refill them. So they only went out when very busy and other vans needed topping up with parcels.
