Isle of Gramarye Autumn Harvest Fairy/Faerie Keepsake Box (a enchanting collectable getting harder to find)
2001
Designed by Robert Glover and hand signed 'RG' on the base
The Isle of Gramarye is the isle where the faeries live. Gramarye is an Old English word which means 'enchantment' and the enchantment covers the Isle itself making it invisible to human eyes. Sailors pass through the Western Isles and never see its silver shore... The keepsake boxes and figurines of the Isle of Gramarye collections are, and always will be, individually handmade and hand painted entirely in England
The Faerie Children - None of the children has a name. On gramarye, each faerie chooses a name as they grow and their calling upon the Isle becomes clear. In their keepsake boxes, there are special symbols for all that these small Reveries need to stay safe and happy. They are sculpted in a mixture of resin and crushed marble. Their wings have been fashioned from English pewter and are hand enamelled in rainbows of transparent colours, which let the light shine through like stained glass
Autumn Harvest - This industrious boy has gathered nuts and berries to make sure the faerie babes have food for cold winters
Condition, preowned but in very good condition, with no chips or cracks, I'm afraid I don't have his original box but he will be sent well packed in a box. Leaflets aren't included but I have put full details of the sculpture in the listing
Approx height - 8.5 cm
