White Eagle Oil & Co. was established in 1911 following the federal breakup of the Standard Oil Trust, operating primarily in the Midwest and Kansas City. The brand was known for its vibrant red and white eagle logo and decorative gas pumps topped with glass eagles.
The company existed for approximately 20 years before being reabsorbed into Standard Oil of New York (Socony) in 1930. After the acquisition, the White Eagle brand was eventually replaced by the Mobil brand, though the iconic eagle statues often remained at service stations for several years post-merger.
