The Munich-based company Lokomotion has been active in transalpine freight transport for over twenty years. It is now known among railway enthusiasts for its diverse fleet of 'Zebra' locomotives. These locomotives operate on routes such as the Brenner Pass to Italy, the Tauern Railway to Slovenia and the Danube Railway to Eastern Europe. Lokomotion provides these services in close cooperation with DB Cargo and the Compagnia Ferroviaria Italiana, both participants in the Munich-based company. The blue stripes represent Bavaria and the red stripes South Tyrol.
