19th.C Silver Plated 14" Salver Campbell Family Crest Armorial Argyll Scottish

“The Campbells are coming, hurrah, hurrah!

The Campbells are coming to bonnie Lochleven!”

Very nice quality Scottish salver with decent engraving and a crest or armorial for the Campbell family from argyll and bute.

Silver plated most probably by the maker creswick and I would date it to around 1860 or 1870. The feet look like they have some neoclassical influence.

Where I have put my finger there are some very small dents to the table section. There is some very very light wear associated with it but it certainly doesn't go down to the base metal at all anywhere apart from maybe one little piece close to the decoration around the central crest, which I'm not sure if it was mistake in the manufacturing process.

Total diameter is 14 inches and if you want me to express that in centimetres that is 35.5 cm. Total height is approximately 4.6 centimeters or just over 1.75 inches tall

The salver has the total weight of 1.9 kilograms.
