  • In the anniversary year In 2017, Schmincke expanded and optimized the HORADAM after several years of development work® WATERCOLOR to the 140 premium range. The possible uses of the latest pigments, the inclusion of customer requests and market analyses, but also changes on the raw material market gave the impulse to make tried and tested things even better.
  • 35 new shades in the best quality, including 32 single-pigment shades, complement the range with sensible coloring. The increased use of highly light-fast pigments such as Quinacridone or Perylene offers completely new qualitative possibilities. So are e.g. B. 10 new shades of red, 3 new single-pigment violet shades to complement the violet range, 4 new shades of black and 8 shades of brown, some of which are translucent such as: b. Ocher glaze or Lasur Umbra, has been added to the premium range. 100 tried and tested and traditional colors as well as "ONETZ", the wetting and leveling agent, already correspond to the highest quality standards, so no further change was necessary at this point. 4 shades, including the brilliant series, were optimized by using the latest and best raw materials and 6 shades were omitted due to raw materials no longer being available.
