candy₂O is an intense concentrate. For strong color saturation, 4 – 6 medium-moist layers are recommended. Allow each coat to air dry before applying another. For processing at “normal” humidity (approx. 40 – 60%) and a room temperature of approximately 20°C, a drying time between coats of approx. 10 minutes recommended. When processing under damp or colder conditions, the tracking times must be adjusted accordingly.
candy₂O can be processed with a variety of spray guns and airbrushes. The following specifications should be taken as a starting point. In order to achieve the goal - a spray pattern with fine atomization - the settings of the devices (airbrush, paint gun, compressor) must of course be adjusted. When using a paint gun, mixing candy₂O 1:1 with 4030 Balancing Clear allows the best properties to achieve an even application of paint without a marbling effect.- Spray gun: 1.0 – 1.5 mm nozzle size, 1.8 – 2.0 bar
- Mini paint gun: 0.8 – 1.0 mm nozzle size, 1.8 – 2.0 bar
- Airbrush: 0.18 – 0.5 mm nozzle size, generally mixed with 25 – 50% Balancing Clear 4030. Dilute as necessary with High Performance Reducer 4012.
Apply Bleed Checker 4040 over candy₂O to prevent bleeding into the overlying paint layer. After the 4040 has dried thoroughly (approx. 30 - 60 minutes), further layers of color, including another layer of candy₂O color, can be applied directly and without sanding.
