In systems where the return medium temperature exceeds 70°C or falls below 0°C, the diaphragm ages more accelerated in the classic expansion vessel. The V 20 lowers the temperature of the medium before entering the expansion vessel and can also be operated as a buffer cylinder for heating or cooling water. As a result, the system maintains its pressure stability and the diaphragm elements work in the safe thermal range. Use in heating, cooling and heat pump systems The device is required in systems with a return temperature of over 70 ° C and in cooling systems at a temperature of 0 ° C and below. A membrane-free tank can also be used as a heat buffer. In this reel, it collects excess energy during peak consumption times and releases it gradually, limiting the heat source's turn-on cycles. The hanging design allows for vertical wall mounting, saving space in the boiler room. Two R 3/4" threaded connections allow easy switching into the return line in front of the expansion vessel or in the buffer loop. Construction, materials and assembly The body is made of steel, with a durable epoxy coating in gray. The coating ensures corrosion resistance under typical operating conditions of water and glycol systems. The tank is membrane-free, which simplifies its role as a cooling and buffer element. The dimensions allow installation in tight spaces. The diameter is 280 mm, the maximum height 360 mm and the heel dimension is approx. 456 mm. Operating parameters and compliance with legal requirements the tank operates in the temperature range from -10° C to 110° C at a maximum permissible operating pressure of 10 bar. The upper 110°C limit applies to both the maximum system temperature and the maximum permissible operating temperature. The lower limit of -10°C allows use in refrigeration systems and with low-temperature heat sources. The device meets the requirements of Art. 4 (3) Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU. Two 3/4" R connections with male thread allow the connection of steel or copper pipes via standard fittings. As a result, the V 20 can be integrated into existing heating, cooling and heat pump systems without converting the fitting.
