The X2 is designed for those who enjoy fine details, build quality, premium materials and even greater audio performance. Structurally, the X2 is supported by its large, heavy, dense and rigid MDF cabinet, reducing unwanted resonances to almost imperceptible levels. By adding this extra mass, the X2 is even quieter, making vinyl playback more detailed and precise. Inside there is a sophisticated DC/AC motor controller, which, combined with electronic speed switching, provides clean and stable energy to the motor system. To achieve the best performance, we have improved the engine suspension. Residual vibrations are dampened and eliminated so that they are not transmitted to the housing, the turntable and the cartridge. The X2's engine chassis is carefully balanced and suspended by a precisely tuned TPE belt. In this way, the motor chassis is effectively decoupled from the housing for optimal performance. In the X2, the motor drives a heavy, resonance-free acrylic platter via a sub-platter and a high-quality bearing to create a stable rotating platter. The 9" carbon/aluminum sandwich tonearm achieves optimal internal damping values. Furthermore, a full aluminum tonearm base is installed for stable and rigid attachment to the housing with azimuth and VTA adjustment. The entire tonearm bearing was also upgraded to compensate for the additional mass. Due to the increased mass, the tonearm is ideal for MC cartridges with low needle flexibility. The one-piece tonearm design with integrated headshell avoids vibrations often caused by removable headshells. The TPE damped counterweight reduces arm pickup resonances by up to 50%. The height-adjustable aluminum/TPE sandwich feet are an exclusive but also necessary feature for setting up the record player and decoupling it from the surface. The exclusive 8-layer paint with hand-polished surface guarantees the elegant look of the X2.

The X2 is delivered either with or without the excellent Pick it 2M-Silver pickup. The scope of delivery includes an excellently shielded, quasi-symmetrical, low-capacity Connect it E phono cable, which was specially designed by Pro-Ject for connecting turntables.
