Excellent with very few signs of use.

This Playbill is from one of the last King and I performances in early June of 1985 by Yul Brynner before his very last performance on June 30,1985. It is not from the final performance. He had been diagnosed with lung cancer a year or two before, and was undergoing treatment at the time of this Broadway run.  He performed as long as he could into June.  He died in October of 1985.

(On a personal note: This is the Playbill I had when I attended this play in early June, and Mr. Brynner did a perfect job, in spite of the fact that he was thin and it was obvious that he was not in good health. )

This was a historic run of Yul Brynner performances at the Broadway Theatre in NYC.

Before his death, he pre-taped a video that urged people not to smoke to avoid the cancer that he had.  This tape was played on national TV several times after his passing.

This was in the beginning of efforts to educate the public of the dangers.  Note that this 1985 Playbill still used cigarette ads in 1985, which was before the big push to ban smoking advertisements.
