Antique Dollond London & Paris Brass Field Binoculars / Glasses – Spares/Repair/Display
A pair of early 20th-century antique Galilean-style field glasses, stamped Dollond London & Paris.
Dollond is one of the most celebrated names in British optical history (established in 1750) and these pieces are highly sought after by collectors of historic militaria and scientific instruments.
This item is in poor, heavily weathered condition, showing significant signs of age and handling. The original black leatherette wrap around both barrels is severely worn, peeling and missing large sections. The brass and alloy framework shows some patina, surface wear and tarnishing.
The internal optics are fogged and cloudy, restricting clear visibility. There may be internal dust, debris, or lens fungus consistent with long-term storage. Due to the foggy optics and heavily worn exterior, this item is being sold strictly As-Is for restoration, spare parts, or as a rustic library-style display piece. It features fantastic historical character and a beautiful natural patina perfect for props or historical collections.
Please study the photos carefully to evaluate the condition before purchasing.
