Original old Caltex Home Lubricant Long Spout Can package featuring the famous Caltex Red Star petroleum trademark and attractive period red, cream and black advertising graphics.
The front shows an illustrated Caltex Home Lubricant oil can fitted with an extra-long precision spout, together with bold “LONG SPOUT CAN” and “CALTEX HOME LUBRICANT” advertising. The reverse explains that the long-spout design was intended to carry protective lubricant into difficult-to-reach locations.
The package is marked 3 Fluid Oz. / 88.719 Millilitres and Made in U.S.A. It has an unusual two-piece telescoping cardboard construction with metal end rims. The sections pull apart, exposing the plain inner cardboard tube, as clearly shown in the photographs.
