This bid is for a very rare pair of Vintage British Army Double Scarlet Red Hose Garter Fishtail Flashes or Tabs. As can be seen from the pictures, they have white elasticated straps which at present have a circumference of 15 inches when laid flat but which can easily be adjusted, smaller or larger, by unstitching and re-stitching the joint. Both the stop quality carlet red fishtail flashes are professionally stitched in place. I purchased these from a gentleman who used to be in a very professional WW1 Black Watch re-enactment group but have found out that this pattern of flash or tab was also worn by the 6^th & 9^th Battalion Highland Light Infantry, the 5^th Battalion Seaforth Highlanders, the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders, the Cameron Highlanders, the Liverpool Scottish and now the Royal Regiment of Scotland.
