Vintage English silver and marcasite floral spray brooch, featuring an attractive stylised bouquet of flowers, leaves and sweeping stems tied together at the base.

The brooch is extensively set with faceted marcasite stones, giving it the characteristic sparkle associated with vintage marcasite jewellery.

The openwork floral design is particularly decorative and has a strong mid-20th-century appearance.

The reverse is clearly stamped:

SILVER
ENGLAND

There is no conventional British assay hallmark or fineness mark visible, so I am describing the metal as silver in accordance with the mark rather than making an unsupported sterling silver claim.

Weight: 10.47 g

Approximate size: approximately 4.5–5 cm at its widest/longest points – please also see the ruler photograph for scale.

The original pin and clasp mechanism are present and operate correctly.

Condition is good vintage condition overall.

There is just one marcasite stone missing; the remaining stones appear present from close inspection.

There are normal light signs of age, handling and surface wear consistent with a vintage piece.

Please study the detailed photographs, which form an important part of the condition description.

An attractive genuine vintage English silver marcasite brooch with a very detailed floral spray design.
