Pioneer Exclusive P3 Turntable – Fully Serviced / 2 Arm Pipes / 2 Counterweights

The Exclusive P3 is a high-end turntable introduced around 1979 and individually handcrafted.

Its exceptionally high-quality turntable and tonearm are housed in a beautifully finished, heavyweight cabinet. The P3 combines an elegant appearance with outstanding sound quality and represents one of Pioneer’s finest turntable designs.

Condition

Each section has been carefully polished and cleaned.

The dust cover has been polished with appropriate compounds according to the level of surface wear and finished to restore its clarity and gloss. The tonearm, platter, and other metal components have also been thoroughly cleaned and polished to remove dirt and oxidation as much as possible.

Dust Cover / Controls / Platter / Rubber Mat

• The glass surface of the dust cover is clear and in beautiful condition.
• The controls retain a good gloss with only minor dullness.
• The platter is clean and retains a nice shine.
• The genuine rubber mat remains soft with no noticeable deterioration or warping.
• The wooden side panels retain a nice gloss with no significant scratches.

Cabinet

• There are several small repaired scratches on the lower base section.
• There is also some slight fading on the right side.
• Apart from these points, there is no significant damage and the cabinet retains a good overall finish.
• The hinges are in good condition and securely hold the dust cover in the open position.

Tonearm

• No significant damage, with good overall gloss and appearance.
• The counterweight shows very slight sagging, but this does not affect normal use.

Operation / Servicing

The unit has undergone comprehensive servicing and operational testing.

Electronic components were inspected and measured, spindle oil was applied, electrical contacts were cleaned, and necessary adjustments were performed.

A half-day to full-day aging test was also conducted to confirm stable operation.

The unit has been carefully serviced and is in excellent condition for reliable long-term use.

Turntable – Fully Operational

• Quartz lock engages quickly and rotation remains stable.
• Stable rotation has also been confirmed using the stroboscope.
• 33/45 RPM speed selection operates correctly.
• Start/Stop controls respond properly.
• All indicator lights illuminate correctly with no burned-out bulbs.
• Compatible with both 50Hz and 60Hz power frequencies.

Tonearm / Arm Pipes – Fully Operational

• Good audio output from both left and right channels.
• The cueing mechanism lowers smoothly using the cueing lever. Cueing oil has been replenished.
• Anti-skating adjustment operates correctly.
• Tonearm height is adjustable.

Important Note Regarding Damping Oil

To prevent damping oil from leaking during international transportation, the damping oil will be drained before shipment.

Damping oil is included with the turntable. The buyer will need to refill the damping oil before use.

All functions described above have been tested and are working properly.

Important Shipping / Setup Instructions

For safe transportation, the transport screws, motor securing screws, and packing spacers will be installed before shipment.

Before operating the turntable, please remove all 5 securing screws and both packing spacers.

Failure to remove the transport hardware before operation may cause damage or prevent proper operation.
