  Vintage Conta Boehme BISQUE Porcelain PIANO Baby Figurine GIRL with sponge

This is a lovely Piano Baby figurine, made of BISQUE, fine porcelain.  The hair is a pale yellow.  The figurine is approximately 7" tall x 6" long x 6" wide, and weights about 1lb 1.4 oz on the store's scale.  Manufacturer's hallmark is not stamped on the bottom, it is unmarked but she is in the Conta Boehme catalogo. The figurine is in great antique condition, not restored, repainted or repaired, it has imperfections or effects of aging, normal wear and tear, please see the pictures for details and feel free to contacting us for any question before buying because the item does not have a return option. It is authentic, it is not a modern reproduction.

Piano baby " is a collector's term. About 1880, the well-decorated home had a shawl on the piano. Bisque figures of babies were designed to help hold the shawl in place. They range in size from 5 to 18 inches. Most of the figures were made in Germany. Most of the piano babies date from the early twentieth century.
