This is a remarkable Mid-Century porcelain figurine from Andrea by Sadek. It features a very detailed sitting girl playing with a butterfly, dressed in finely painted pastel clothing.

Andrea by Sadek, originally founded as the Charles Sadek Import Company in 1936 by Charles and Norman Sadek, is known for its high-quality porcelain figurines and home accessories. The company remains family-owned and continues to produce a wide range of collectible items, maintaining a strong presence in the gift and tableware industry.

Piano baby " is a collector's term. About 1880, the well-decorated home had a shawl on the piano. Bisque figures of babies were designed to help hold the shawl in place. They range in size from 5 to 18 inches. Most of the figures were made in Germany. Most of the piano babies date from the early twentieth century.
