Hexatronic LTT1792040 installs Stingray Air Blown Fiber into microduct using motorized feed with compressed-air assist. Supports speeds up to 150 m/min, adjustable magnetic feed force, speed lock, and OLED distance/speed monitoring.
The Hexatronic LTT1792040 Air Blown Fiber Installation Tool feeds Hexatronic Air Blown Fiber into microducts using an electric motor and compressed air. Adjustable feed force, replaceable fiber guides and nozzles, and direct speed and distance monitoring give installers control over fiber movement and installation setup.
For normal installations, Hexatronic states that 30 L/min at 8 bar is sufficient in most cases. For optimal installation performance, the specified air supply is 80 L/min at a nominal 8 bar, with a maximum pressure of 10 bar for applications requiring higher pressure. The compressed-air supply must be clean, dry, and oil-free. Very short installations up to 50 m can use the integrated motor without compressed air when route conditions permit.
Electric motor and compressed-air feed — pushes the fiber while airflow reduces friction inside the microduct for longer installation routes.
Compressed-air operating range — supports 30 L/min at 8 bar for most normal installations, while 80 L/min at nominal 8 bar provides optimal installation performance. Maximum permitted pressure is 10 bar.
Air filter and valve assembly — conditions and controls the clean, dry, oil-free compressed-air supply before air enters the blowing tool.
Adjustable magnetic coupling — limits feeding force on the fiber to reduce the risk of damage if movement stops unexpectedly.
Variable installation speed with speed locking — operates at typical installation speeds of 80–120 m/min, with a maximum speed of 150 m/min, while the trigger lock maintains a selected feed rate during blowing.
Typical blowing distances of approximately 1000 m — supports extended runs under normal installation conditions with Hexatronic Air Blown Fiber and Hexatronic microducts; actual distance depends on bends, bend radius, temperature, humidity, air pressure, fiber type, and other route conditions.
OLED display — monitors current installation speed, blown length, and battery capacity at the tool.
Divisible blowing head — opens around the fiber path to accommodate pre-terminated Air Blown Fiber during installation.
Motor-only feeding for very short routes — allows installations up to 50 m without compressed air when route conditions permit.
3, 5, and 7 mm microduct nozzles — provide replaceable interfaces for the supported microduct sizes supplied with the tool.
Included installation package — includes the blowing tool, battery charger, two Li-Ion batteries, air filter and valve set, Stingray reel holder, red tool and spare-parts accessory case, fiber-guide sets for 2–6 and 8–12 blown fiber units, 3/5/7 mm microduct nozzles, microduct cutter, user guide, and carrying case. The 24-fiber guide set and duct holder/clamp are not included.
Install Hexatronic Air Blown Fiber through extended microduct routes — combine controlled motor feed with the required compressed-air supply while matching feed force and speed to route conditions.
Install pre-terminated Air Blown Fiber assemblies — use the divisible blowing head to position connectorized fiber without passing the terminated end through a closed head.
Complete very short microduct runs — use motor-only feeding for installations up to 50 m when compressed air is not required by the route conditions.
