Welcome to the sale of this stunning 1930's lamp. 

This Art Deco modernism table lamp features a walnut and beech column base supporting an aluminium domed shade with glass discs atop. This lamp was certainly ahead of its time not only in its space age design but also with its cleaver dimming diffuser mechanism. When you turn the acorn shaped finial on the top it raises and lowers an aluminium sleeve that covers the bulb reducing the amount of light given. I must say I think this is really cool. The aluminium shade comes in its original grey blue metallic finish to the top and a creamy yellow below. This gives the lamp a really nice aged patina. 

In good condition commensurate with its age and use. The aluminium shade is a little pitted and one of the glass discs is cracked and repaired. It would have originally had three discs but the largest had only a half remaining so I have removed it. It will be included should you wish to have a replacement made. The lamp measures (in cm) 50 tall, 35 wide (shade) and 19 deep (Base).   It weighs 1.6kg

 I offer free delivery on many of our items, however delivery shown is for the UK mainland only. There will be a surcharge for some addresses in Northern Ireland, the Isle of Wight, the Isle of Man, the Scilly Isles and the Highlands and islands of Scotland. You are more than welcome to collect or I can deliver locally if needed.
