Mercedes-Benz A0019894651 synthetic grease 10g
The most common cause of sunroof defects is lack of lubrication.
When a sunroof no longer slides smoothly due to dried out lubricant and dirty slide rails, the drive mechanism is under severe stress. This can lead to failure of the tilt arm, motor drive and cables.
Lubricating the sunroof seals and tracks is an excellent preventive maintenance measure. The Mercedes-Benz operating instructions even recommend lubricating the sunroof rails once a year with Mercedes-Benz lubricating paste and special lubricant.
We offer you the lubricating grease A0019894651 for your Mercedes sunroof or panoramic roof, which is filled from larger service containers and is sufficient for at least two service applications.
In another offer in our eBay shop you will find an offer with lubricating paste (for rails, gliders and mechanical parts) and a bottle Krytox Special lubricant (for gaskets and rubber seals).
In this offer you only receive the synthetic fat A0019894651
Two brushes for applying the grease are also included.
Instructions for lubricating the sunroof of a Mercedes W204 or other vehicles see the photos and the steps described below. There are also numerous videos on YouTube showing the lubrication process for various Mercedes sunroof and panoramic roof systems.
This Synthetic grease A0019894651 Can also be used to lubricate or eliminate creaking noises from other manufacturers.
Two tracks need to be cleaned and lubricated: the inner sun visor track where the headliner rides and the outer sliding glass track where the glass slides.
Preparation is key.
Clean the rails and sliding surfaces carefully and thoroughly so that no dust, dirt or old grease remains. Clean the water drain too! Using glass cleaner is ideal.
Using the brush, apply a small amount of this synthetic grease to the roof rail, making sure to reach both sides of the rail. Then grease all sliding surfaces and moving parts. You can already see where the sliding surfaces are. Do not use more lubricant than necessary as excess lubricant will only trap dirt and debris.
Once these are fully lubricated, operate the roof a few times and check to see if any excess lubricant has come out. Wipe it off and you're done.
Check the rails at least once a year. Seals and weather strips must be lubricated with the special lubricant.
