The brass nameplate displays the serial number 268556, dating its production to the early 1970s at the historic New York factory. The unit is structurally sound and cosmetically bright, showing minor character wear including the initials 'ENJ'  inscribed by a previous amateur radio operator on the left side of the base frame.
