A superb matching pair of retro Daiwa 5000T Emblem-S big pit carp fishing reels dating from the 1990s, both in full working order and excellent cosmetic condition.

These are proper old-school Daiwa big pit reels from a classic era of carp fishing and are becoming increasingly difficult to find as a matching pair in this sort of condition.

What makes this particular pair even more interesting is that both reels are fitted with period front Bait runner conversions, also dating from the same era.

These aftermarket conversions provided a front-operated freespool/Bait runner-style facility, giving the classic Emblem big pit reel an additional feature particularly suited to carp fishing.

The reels have clearly been very well looked after and remain in excellent cosmetic condition for their age, as well as being mechanically sound and in full working order.

A cracking matching pair for somebody wanting a proper retro 1990s carp setup, or for the collector of classic Daiwa big pit reels and period carp fishing tackle.
