The Pairpoint Mfg Co operated in Massachusetts during the late 19th century and well into the 20th century producing many wonderful silverplate items with fancy designs covering the objects. The firm produced numerous patterns of silverplate flatware and marketed these lines during the Victorian era.  One such intricate design was called Dresden introduced in 1891 and sporting a fancy detailed pattern on the handle of each piece. The sets included many different individual place setting utensils as well as multiple serving items.  This individual fork most likely served as the main course utensil, it measures 7 1/2” long. I have not polished the item, sold as viewed in the listing. The impressed mark on the back states 1880 Pairpoint MFG Company with the #4 also visible. One of the tines appears to be slightly shorter in length to the other three, possibly ground down slightly for some reason.
