For 200+ years the Wedgewood company of England produced jasperware in many assorted colors, shapes and designs. The modern black with white bas-relief designs ran from 1948 to 1986 but phased out in about 1977 except for special production pieces.  This single candlestick has the number “70“ impressed on the bottom possibly indicating the year of production as 1970.  Circling the base is a detailed scrolling design depicting beautiful flowers intertwined with what appear to be feathers.  The piece stands 1 1/4” tall with the base spanning just over 3 5/8” across. After cleaning and inspection, I find no damage or repairs to this item. I will mention and is visible very slight wear at the top opening where the candle sets, possibly even slight wax residue I missed. I am selling this single candlestick at auction with a low starting bid. Now is the time to complete your set in this color of jasperware. Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description.

Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting numerous fine examples of glass, pottery and porcelain in the near future.

Thank you.
