Picked this attractive vase up last year at a local auction and realized the weight would hold a substantial stack of papers from blowing away. The glass is quite thick and cased with the cobalt layer on the inside highlighting beautiful green vines with yellow blooms underneath an outer clear layer.  This example is unmarked so I am unsure as to the country or studio of origin. I do know many studios exist in Italy which produce similar wares. The vase stands 5” tall and measures 4 1/2” across the body. The piece weighs 3 pounds unpacked so I expect shipping weight about 4 pounds. Through examination reveals no damage or repairs, the inside is clean showing no staining or residue from use.  I did notice a couple pinpoint ash specks in the glass which is common with studio pieces as often the air contains floating debris. When viewing the vase from the top, the rich cobalt really stands out especially when held up to the light.  A great item for a gift or use!  Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description.

Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting numerous fine examples of glass, pottery and porcelain in the near future.

Thank you.
