Wow!! Such a fine example of Fulper art pottery at its best! We have here a jug in the colonial line produced during the roaring 20’s; classic deco era!! The item exhibits a very rich organic colors of olive green, medium brown and black with hints of blue on the inside of the spout.  The method at which the darker glazes were applied to this item allowed for open areas where the lighter brown color of the clay could show through on the outside. The pitcher stands 5 3/8 inches tall, 6 inches from spout to handle and 4 3/8 inches across the base. The bottom shows the ink stamp Fulper mark which would date this piece between 1922 and 1928. It is in excellent factory original condition, no chips, cracks, damage, repair, or residue on the inside. I have included a picture of a small amount of excess clay present during manufacturing. The glaze skips in areas of this example were purposely done at the factory and actually enhance the attractiveness of this jug. When tapped, rings like a bell, no hairline cracks evident.
