An unmarked Victorian shoe hook with a fancy reposse style attached handle. I know the hook portion has the word “steel“ impressed near the base. I cannot find any markings as to the content of the metal of the handle, ie, I see no sterling or 925 markings. I suspect the handle to be of silver content, however. No makers mark visible but I believe it to originate from Europe, most likely England. The tool measures 6 5/8” long. In used condition with a slight bend in the handle near the attachment to the hook portion visible in one of the pictures. I also included a picture of a tiny split at the point of attachment in the handle visible only under magnification. Still a wonderful item to add to your Victorian vanity collection.  Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description.

Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting numerous unusual antiques and collectibles in the near future.

Thank you.
