Description
A complete one-person robotic outfit built on the Spectra Focus 35 RX in 3" angular accuracy. The Focus 35 pairs StepDrive servo motion — 90° per second, face 1 to face 2 in 3.7 seconds — with LockNGo continuous prism tracking out to 800 m, and a 2.4 GHz frequency-hopping radio so the instrument is driven entirely from the controller in your hand. GeoLock GPS-assisted search brings the head back around to the prism when a lock is broken behind a truck or a tree, which is where most robotic time is otherwise lost.
The instrument was recently calibrated in September 2026 by an authorized Trimble dealer and is fully tested and in excellent condition. It measures 4,000 m to a single prism (7,000 m to three) and 400 m reflectorless at 3 mm + 2 ppm, with a dual-axis compensator good to 0.5".
Field control is a Trimble TSC3 running Survey Pro 6.7 with all four modules enabled — STD, Pro, GNSS and Robotics, the top-tier MAX configuration. Robotics is the module that drives this instrument, and GNSS is already active on the same controller if you add a receiver later. A 360 prism, two robot batteries with a dual charger, the USB to Hirose cable and the Spectra Focus Robot transport case round out the kit.

What the "RX" Means
RX is Spectra's extended-operation robotic model. It carries two internal Li-Ion batteries (11.1 V / 5.0 Ah each) instead of one, which takes runtime from roughly 6 hours to approximately 12 hours — a full working day without stopping to swap a battery. Every other robotic feature is identical to the standard robotic Focus 35: the same 2.4 GHz radio, StepDrive, LockNGo and GeoLock. RX is offered in 2", 3" and 5" accuracies.
