Antique POETICAL WORKS OF ALFRED LORD TENNYSON (Poet Laureate) - Vintage 1899 The Globe Edition

CONDITION: This book is an antique. It has wear to the cover and some of the pages are getting loose, however, all are currently still intact in their binding. There are 2 inscriptions on the front end pages: one from 1900 and one from 1999.

A LITTLE HISTORY: Lord Tennyson was the Poet Laureate during much of Queen Victoria's reign and remains one of the most popular British poets. In 1829, Tennyson was awarded the Chancellor's Gold Medal at Cambridge for one of his first pieces, ‘Timbuktu’.
