This listing is for the original oil painting that you see in the photos. I purchased it at an estate sale in Oregon where I was not told its history. The signature is a little difficult to read but I believe that it should be read “Salazar”. I have not been able to identify the artist. The frame was made in Mexico but I do not know where the painting was painted or where the scene might be. It looks like a flower market to me in maybe Spain or Mexico. My guess is that it was painted sometime around the 1970's. I leave it to the buyer to decide where it was painted and when and who the artist is.

  The frame measures close to 31 ¾ by 27 ¾ inches. The area of the painting exposed by the frame measures close to 23 7/8 by 19 3/8  inches. The framed painting weighs close to 6 pounds 12 ounces.

  The condition is much like you see it in the photos. A close-up shows a tiny white area near the upper right hand corner that under magnification looks to me like a tiny amount of paint has popped off. I think something probably struck it from the reverse to make it happen. Otherwise, the painting is in excellent condition with no other damage. Generally, the paint appears to be stable with no cracking. The fabric lining on the frame shows some spotty discoloration that I image is from age. The frame has some small signs of use in the form of tiny scrapes and dents. A close-up shows a small area of discoloration on the frame. Painting and frame might benefit from a cleaning. Otherwise, they are generally fine and as shown.

      I guarantee this painting to be as described and represented by the 18 photos after the general description. The photos are part of the description. Please look at all of them.

     Please know that the lighting in my photos is uneven and that there might be shadows or reflections. The colors on my monitor look close to but not exactly like the actual colors. Different monitors may show different colors. I often say that an item measures or weighs “close to” because in my opinion no measurements are exact and some things are difficult to measure.
