A classic vintage J W Young Rapidex centrepin fishing reel in good preloved condition and full working order.

The Rapidex is a proper piece of traditional British river fishing tackle and has long been associated with trotting a float for roach, dace, chub and other river species.

This example features the classic narrow drum design, runs well and freely, and the ratchet/check is also in full working order.

Being a genuine vintage reel, it naturally displays plenty of honest age-related cosmetic wear and signs of previous fishing use. There are marks, scratches, scuffs and general finish wear consistent with its age.

This isn't a pristine display example — it's an honest, usable vintage Rapidex that remains mechanically sound and ready to fish.
