Lot of two illustrated paperback books covering custom knifemaking, bladesmithing, tools, materials, techniques, and knife design.

Included in this lot:

1. How to Make Knives by Richard W. Barney and Robert W. Loveless — Krause Publications, eighth printing, February 1995. ISBN 9780873413893. Covers stock-removal methods, forging, sheath making, hand tools, grinding, guards, hidden tangs, handles, polishing, materials, and design.

2. The Wonder of Knifemaking by master smith Wayne Goddard — Krause Publications, 2000. ISBN 9780873417983. Covers steel selection, heat treating, forging, Damascus steel, sharpening, grinding, tang construction, friction folders, and knife testing.

Both paperbacks are in very good condition with secure bindings and no loose pages. No rips, stains, writing, highlighting, or other markings inside. Covers show light shelf and edge wear, including a small scuffed spot along the spine of the Goddard book.

Put it in a box!:  A note on shipping in a box. I have received too many books for my personal collection that arrive in a padded (or unpadded) envelope and are subject to some kind of damage in transit. Unless otherwise noted, I ship in a box to protect your purchase. The slight extra cost on shipping is worth it for both of us.

Media mail:   Media mail shipping is provided for books or other qualified media in order to lower your overall cost.  I typically ship within a day or two of days of payment; however, total transit time may vary greatly with media mail.   I will update the listing when I ship so you will know your item is on its way.  Most of the time media mail is reasonably fast, sometimes amazingly so.  That said, at times it can mysteriously take 10-12 days once I mail.  There is no rhyme or reason- at least I can't decipher the algorithm.  If this happens, please understand it is out of my control.
