Sculpted vines, leaves and flowers in raised relief across the body

A 16-inch resin ball-jointed doll, bought secondhand through an online estate sale. The label that came with her reads: "JAKZJEWELZ Evianna - 16in sea mist (pastel green skin)."

WHAT MAKES HER UNUSUAL

The Evianna body is sculpted with vines, leaves and flowers in raised relief, winding down one arm and both legs and across the torso. They are part of the resin itself, not decals or transfers, and the flowers are picked out in soft pink and green. Photographs do not really do it justice; it reads as jewellery worked into the body.

It is a genuinely uncommon thing to find on a BJD. If you are after a wood-nymph or dryad character, she is already halfway there before you dress her.

HOW SHE LOOKS

Pale resin with a soft, cool cast - the maker calls it sea mist, and it reads as a very subtle pastel green rather than an obvious one. She is bald, with green-hazel eyes and lashes installed, and a face-up present: smoky shadow, defined brows and a soft pink lip. She is nude, with no wig.

WHAT SHE DOES NOT HAVE - SAID PLAINLY

Estate sale purchase. No certificate, no maker's bag. She needs restringing and shows age wear. The artist has been inactive since the early 2010s, so there is no current studio to verify her against - what you see in the photographs and read here is everything I know.

CONDITION

She is an estate doll and she shows it. Her sea-mist resin has visible age wear and she needs restringing. In her photographs the sculpted vines, leaves and flowers are intact, with the pink and green paint present - I have not gone over every raised flower under magnification, so if a chip in the relief work would matter to you, ask and I will photograph it close up before you bid. Her face-up is present, with smoky shadow, defined brows and a soft pink lip, and her green-hazel eyes and lashes are installed. She is sold nude, with no wig. I have not examined her resin in daylight or checked under the wig cap for a maker's stamp.

ABOUT THIS SALE

I am liquidating a personal doll collection built up over about twenty-five years. Most of what I am listing I bought new and owned from the start - this doll is one of the exceptions, and I have said so above. I am not a dealer and I am not sourcing these from anywhere - this is one collector's shelves, being emptied.

MORE FROM THIS COLLECTION

I am listing the whole collection over the coming weeks - artist BJDs, convention and limited edition dolls, and a large amount of doll clothing, shoes, wigs and accessories in sizes from 1:12 miniature up to 16-inch fashion dolls. Much of the clothing is handmade or custom-commissioned and is not available anywhere else.

Click "See other items" at the top of this listing to browse everything I currently have available - and please save me as a seller, since new pieces go up regularly.

SHIPPING & PACKING

She came to me secondhand without her maker's bag, so she ships bubble-wrapped and cushioned inside a sturdy outer box rather than in original packing. Shipped USPS Priority Mail, insured for the full sale price, within 1-2 business days with tracking. From a smoke-free home.

Shipping is a flat $25. I am glad to combine shipping - if you are buying more than one item from me, wait for a combined invoice or ask me for one and I will adjust the total before you pay.

PLEASE ASK

I would far rather answer a question before you buy than have you be disappointed after. If you would like additional photographs of any detail - the sculpted relief work, the face-up, the joints, the resin colour in daylight - just ask and I will take them.
