The new Conklin 1898 Solaris Collection takes its inspiration from the warmth of the sun and the beauty of the night sky. The pen is crafted from richly colored epoxy resin filled with gold flakes, creating depth and shimmer that changes as it moves in the light. Epoxy resin is a strong, stable material with a smooth, comfortable surface that resists moisture and stands up well to everyday handling. Its clarity allows the layered colors and gold details to remain visible beneath the surface.

The collection is available in three distinctive colors, each with its own character:

Blue features a translucent teal-blue epoxy with shades of turquoise and deep ocean blue. Metallic gold flakes are spread throughout the material, creating a rich contrast and a color that shifts between cool blue and blue-green as the light moves.

Green uses a vivid translucent emerald-green epoxy with brighter lime highlights and deeper forest tones. Generous metallic gold flakes run throughout the material, giving the pen a lively, luminous appearance.

Black pairs a smoky black epoxy with charcoal undertones and scattered metallic gold flakes. The dark, slightly translucent base allows the gold to stand out clearly, giving the pen a dramatic yet refined look.

A color-matched resin front section of the fountain and rollerball pens allows the pattern to flow naturally from the barrel into the grip, giving the pen a clean and unified appearance. The cap is finished with Conklin’s new crescent-shaped clip, a modern interpretation of one of the brand’s most recognizable design details.

The pens are available in three writing modes—Fountain Pen, Rollerball, and Ballpoint—each carefully designed to deliver exceptional balance and performance. The fountain pen is fitted with a premium chrome JoWo stainless steel nib, offered in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, Stub, and Omniflex, providing a smooth and expressive writing experience. Each fountain pen is equipped to use either ink cartridges or the included threaded ink converter. Paired with an expertly designed plasma-treated feed system, the pen delivers consistent, reliable ink flow, ensuring rich and even lines without skipping or blotting, regardless of your writing speed or style. The rollerball and ballpoint models are engineered for effortless everyday use and are compatible with standard international refills as well as GEL refills, allowing writers to choose the ink performance that best suits their style. The ballpoint comes with a Soft Roll™ ballpoint refill (71001) and includes a bonus GEL refill (72102). The rollerball is fitted with a GEL refill (72101).
