Pair of Naga incised coiled brass armband bracelets. Provenance

A fine pair of Naga (Burma) coiled brass armbands with incised decoration. It is thought they represent snakes (the literal meaning of the word 'Naga'). The Naga head hunters of the North Eastern India and Kachin (Burma) gained huge respect during WWII when they put up fierce resistance to Japanese occupation and mounted guerrilla operations with 'V' Force.
