Item up for bid is an incredible vintage brass and glass yacht lamp made in the style of a miner's lamp. This piece is marked on the front as being made by Weems & Plath and is further marked " Yacht Lamp No. 13016 Annapolis Maryland".  This item has NOT been tested as we have no knowledge as to what type of fuel this would require to operate so please have item inspected by a profesisonal PRIOR to ANY attempted use. This piece was found with it's original hook on top. Glass shade shows some singe marks and black residue on the interior so new owner may desire an interior cleaning. Glass shows no cracks or breaks.

Brass body is non magnetic when tested. Brass shows tarnish and patina throughout with dust / soiling to nooks and crannies consistent with use. All metal would benefit from a polish and detail cleaning. Original brass hook is in place on the top. Interior burner exhibits tarnish and patina consistent with use with wick showing single marks on the edge consistent with use. Item measures ( not including hook ) measures 7-1/2" top to bottom by 2-1/2" by 2-1/2" across the base.
