​Manufactured in Kankakee, Illinois by the historic Amberg File & Index Co., this Mid-Century desk file box features a gold-embossed "CHECK amfile CASE" emblem on the lid, brass-tone hardware, and its complete original set of 12 monthly cardstock dividers (January through December).

​The exterior finish is a deep, dark tone that sits right between a midnight shade and soft black. Perfect for vintage office decor, organizing index cards, receipts, craft supplies, ephemera collections, or period prop use!
