AIWA HS-PX30 / HS-PX303 / HS-PX900 Premium Capacitor Recap Kit

This premium capacitor kit is specifically designed for the following AIWA stereo cassette players:

These models have extremely limited internal clearance, making the physical dimensions of replacement capacitors especially important. Capacitors that are even slightly too large may interfere with the mainboard or prevent the rear cover from closing correctly.

Every capacitor in this kit has been carefully selected for the required compact dimensions. The complete kit has been physically test-fitted in an actual AIWA HS-PX30 to ensure that the mainboard and rear cover can be installed correctly without interference.

Nichicon 560µF Solid Polymer Capacitors

The original design uses two 470µF 2V electrolytic capacitors. Suitable modern replacements with the correct physical dimensions are now extremely difficult to find.

This kit includes two compact, high-quality Nichicon 560µF solid polymer capacitors to replace the original 470µF 2V capacitors.

The slightly higher nominal capacitance provides additional low-frequency coupling margin, while the low-ESR solid-polymer construction offers stable and reliable electrical performance.

These two Nichicon 560µF capacitors must be installed specifically in positions C19 and C20. Always confirm the correct polarity before soldering.

All remaining capacitors included in the kit are high-quality Panasonic SMD capacitors.

Important Installation Notice

Installation requires experienced soldering or micro soldering skills.

Due to the age of these AIWA players, the original capacitors may have leaked electrolyte and caused corrosion to PCB pads, vias, or copper traces. Damaged or open traces are common and must be carefully inspected, cleaned, continuity-tested, and repaired as necessary before or during capacitor replacement.

Replacing the capacitors alone will not repair damaged PCB traces or other unrelated mechanical or electronic faults. Successful operation after installation depends on the condition of the player, the integrity of all affected traces, and the correct installation of every component.

Capacitor replacement alone cannot guarantee that a previously non-working player will be fully restored. Other faults involving the tape mechanism, switches, flexible cables, wiring, adjustment, or electronic components may also require attention.

This kit is recommended for experienced technicians. If you are not confident working on compact vintage surface-mount electronics, professional installation is strongly recommended.
