This is an unsigned Japanese katana believed to date from the late Muromachi to early Edo period, approximately the late 16th to early 17th century. The blade measures 64.7 cm in length with a graceful 2.3 cm sori, presenting a well-balanced and elegant shape.

The jihada is clearly visible in itame-hada, with the characteristic wood-grain pattern of traditionally forged Japanese steel. The hamon is primarily suguha, but features subtle and gentle undulations along the temper line, giving the otherwise restrained hamon a natural and understated character.

The sword is mounted in Type 98 guntō koshirae with a leather-covered scabbard, typical of field-service mounts. The remounting of traditionally forged blades into military fittings was common during the wartime period, reflecting continued functional use.
