The Real Car

The Ford Escort RS Turbo was the homologation hot hatch of the mid-1980s Mk3 range — turbocharged CVH, RS bodykit and the car that replaced the XR3i at the top of the road range. Solido issued this white Métal 5 promotional / race-style version on the same Escort tooling as the silver road car and the Pioneer livery. Métal 5 was a period French sponsor scheme used on Solido’s competition Escorts.
