the Fusion Apollo MS-SRX400, IT'S a stand-alone marine stereo. You do not need another Fusion head unit or an external amplifier for basic operation.

It has a built-in 2-channel Class-D amplifier:

  • 2 × 26 W RMS @ 4 Ω
  • 2 × 43 W RMS @ 2 Ω
  • Up to 140 W peak total 

So for a simple installation you need only 12 V power + two speakers. You can play music directly from your phone via Bluetooth, and it also supports Wi-Fi/AirPlay. 

One important limitation: the SRX400 is essentially a single-zone, two-channel stereo. It has one internally amplified zone and also a line-level output if you later want to add an external amplifier. 

So, for example:

SRX400 → left speaker + right speaker = complete working stereo system.

You do not need an Apollo RA770/RA670 for it to work. Those can be added if you want a larger Fusion PartyBus multi-zone system.
