Finished in silver Visteon livery with the black dot pattern, race number 45, gold wheels and US flag. Drivers David Brabham, Andy Wallace and Jamie Davies. Mounted on the original labelled display plinth with clear acrylic cover. Vitesse Group certificate: limited edition of 4,500, this example no. 2772. Original window box included.

Condition

The Real Car

The Panoz Esperante GTR-1 was Don Panoz’s front-engined GT1 challenger, using a Roush-prepared 6.0-litre Ford V8. At Le Mans in 1998 the #45 Visteon car of David Brabham, Andy Wallace and Jamie Davies finished 7th overall, 16 laps behind the winning Porsche. The silver-and-dot Visteon scheme is one of the most distinctive GT1 liveries of the late 1990s and marks Panoz’s early factory years at Le Mans before the LMP-1 Roadster S.
