Awesome character, facial expressions, patina, and woodgrain striping. Exactly as found in the estate of a  NorCal antiquarian book expert. He had many items from the 1600-1700's, so these could be quite old.

Definitely a pair, one slightly taller than the other. Dimensions shown in photos.
