A beautiful and unusually decorative antique silver Albertina watch chain, featuring multiple fine woven chains and a charming suspended heart fob.

This is a particularly attractive example of the elegant Albertina chains worn during the Victorian period. Rather than a simple single chain, the piece is constructed from several fine intertwined strands, creating a wonderfully rich and delicate appearance.

At the centre sits an ornate decorative slider-style fitting with a suspended three-dimensional heart charm, both embellished with intricate raised scrollwork. The heart provides a lovely romantic focal point and gives this Albertina considerably more character than the more commonly encountered plain examples.

The chain retains its traditional T-bar fitting at one end and dog clip at the other, making the original watch-chain purpose immediately recognisable.
