I am selling my Mercedes Vito 114 CDI, which I purchased in 2021 with approximately 70,000 miles. The van has now covered 192,019 miles.
I have owned the van for several years and have serviced it regularly every 8,000–10,000 miles.
The gearbox has been serviced twice during my ownership — once when I purchased the van at approximately 70,000 miles, and again at 150,000 miles.
The van is the basic specification model, but it does have a reversing camera, which is very useful on a van of this size.
Maintenance & good points
Please read – faults/condition
I want to be completely honest about the condition, so please read this carefully before bidding.
The bodywork needs attention. There are various cosmetic marks/damage, so please look carefully at all the photographs before bidding.
The instrument cluster display is intermittent. The screen sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t, and the background illumination can also go off.
The van has also gone into limp mode a few times in the past. When this happens, switching the engine off and restarting it has returned the van to normal driving.
My mechanic has carried out checks and suspects the issue may be related to the fuel pressure/fuel sensor system. The fault has been very rare, and because the van continued to drive normally most of the time, I decided not to spend money investigating or repairing it further.
Please understand that the van is being sold with these faults and I cannot guarantee that the issue will not occur again. Buyers are welcome to inspect the van before bidding.
Reason for sale
I have recently bought another van and originally intended to keep this one as a spare. Unfortunately, I don’t have the space to keep it, so it now has to go.
The van has served me well over the years and, despite the mileage and cosmetic/electrical issues mentioned above, I believe it has many more miles left in it.
Please study all photographs carefully and satisfy yourself regarding the condition of the van before bidding.
Viewing & collection
Viewing is welcome before bidding by prior arrangement.
The van is being sold as seen, with the known faults described above.
Happy bidding and good luck!
